Hone worked with First Light Studio to provide landscape design services to the project, in Newlands, Wellington. Sitting on top of a decommissioned reservoir site , the site has panoramic views of the entire region. The Luwte House references these views, opening up to the wider landscape on all four sides. The sunken landscape allows for flexibility in everyday living, giving choice to where best to enjoy the elements. A subtle palette of materials support a fully planted site, and make use of the same masonry selections used on the facade of the house.
